Mr. Ancowitz has served in a variety of NSA assignments in the Operations and Capabilities Directorates. Most recently, he served as the Chief of Front-End Processing Solutions (XKEYSCORE). He began his NSA career in 2008 as a Software Engineer. He's
explored challenges outside his comfort-zone for greater impact. Namely, he graduated from the Resident Signals Engineering program in 2016, where he's had notable accomplishments across missions and the Intelligence Community. Mr. Ancowitz graduated
from James Madison University in 2004 with a bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In 2006, he also attained a Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Ancowitz was born in Oakland California, and current lives in Mount
Airy, Maryland. He is married to Emily Bagby and they have two children, Callie and Tate.
