Alexiaa Jordan is a South-Side Chicagoan, a trained biologist, and a passionate security professional. Currently, she's a Subject Matter Expert with the Defense Innovation Board (DIB) at the Department of Defense, Under Secretary for Research & Engineering. There she works to bring intelligence and innovation from the private sector to address the needs of the Department of Defense and national security apparatus.

She's held a range of technical, policy, and leadership positions across the public and private sectors; is a proud ICANN and CNAS Next Generation National Security Fellow.

She holds a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in international economics, security studies, and Portuguese; her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in molecular and cellular biology, global studies, and Swahili.
