The INSA Foundation (INSF) Scholarship Program offers eight awards—collectively valued at $60,000—to support students like you in achieving your goals.

How to Apply - It's Simple!
  1. Create a profile including your name, academic institution, and degree program
  2. Upload your transcripts to showcase your academic achievements
  3. Provide a reference contact for a letter of recommendation
  4. Answer an essay question to share your aspirations
  5. Submit your application—and you're done!

Deadline: Friday, May 23, 2025 (End of Day)

Undergraduate Scholarships

Investing in the Future IC Workforce Scholarship

Two awards for $5,000

Eligible applicants must...

  • be enrolled full-time as a rising Junior or Senior at an accredited university or college within the U.S.
  • have a current overall GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • be a U.S. citizen
  • be pursuing a degree in an intelligence and national security field of study*
  • Awards will be based on a combination of applicant resiliency, merit, and academic excellence. 

     

    The Letitia A. Long Endowed Intelligence Scholarship

    One award for $10,000


    Eligible applicants must...

    • be a female undergraduate entering your Junior or Senior year
    • attend an accredited college or university within the U.S.
    • have a current overall GPA of 3.2 or higher
    • be a U.S. citizen 
    • be pursuing a STEM-focused career in intelligence and national security*

     

    Reinventing Geospatial Intelligence, Inc. (RGi) Scholarship

     

     

     

    One award for $15,000

    Eligible applicants must....

    • be enrolled full-time as a rising Sophomore to Senior
    • attend an accredited university or college within the U.S.
    • have a current overall GPA of 3.2 or higher
    • be a U.S. citizen
    • be pursuing a degree in an intelligence and national security field of study*

     

    The Governor Tom Ridge Endowed Scholarship

    One award for $5,000

    Eligible applicants must...

    • be enrolled full-time as a rising Junior or Senior at an accredited university or college within the U.S.
    • have a current overall GPA of 3.2 or higher
    • be a U.S. citizen
    • be pursuing a career in defense or intelligence studies*

     

    LtGen Vincent R. Stewart, USMC - Endowed Intelligence Career Pathways Scholarship

    One award for $10,000

    Eligible applicants must....

    • be a Black/African American student enrolled full-time as a rising Sophomore to Senior
    • attend an accredited university or college within the U.S.
    • have a current overall GPA of 3.2 or higher
    • be a U.S. citizen
    • be pursuing a degree in an intelligence and national security field of study*

     

    Master's Scholarships

    Two awards for $5,000

    Eligible applicants must...

    • be entering second semester of graduate school
    • have a current overall GPA of 3.2 or higher
    • be a U.S. citizen
    • be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university within the U.S.
    • be pursuing a degree in an intelligence and national security field of study*
    • Awards will be based on applicant resiliency, merit, and academic excellence


    Preferred concentrations include: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Engineering, Homeland Security, Intelligence Analysis, International Affairs, Mathematics, National Security Studies, or comparable field of study. 

    Each scholarship applicant will be vetted by a combination of representatives of the INSF Board of Trustees, the INSF President and INSA Executive Vice President.

    Awards will be paid directly to the respective college/university to be applied to tuition fees.
