Carly Swanson

Carly Swanson is a dedicated educator and literacy advocate with a unique perspective on dyslexia. As both a dyslexic learner and a certified reading specialist, Carly bridges her personal experiences with professional expertise to empower students and educators alike. Holding a Master of Education in Literacy Leadership from George Mason University and certifications in Orton-Gillingham and Lexia LETRS, she specializes in implementing the Structured Literacy approach in diverse K–12 settings.

Carly has served as a first-grade teacher, curriculum lead, and tutor coordinator with Falls Church City Public Schools and Dyslexic Edge. Her work focuses on designing personalized learning plans, supporting students' social-emotional growth, and fostering inclusive environments. Passionate about equipping educators with evidence-based strategies, Carly champions multi-sensory, explicit, and systematic instruction to unlock the potential of every learner.
