Erin Harroun
Vice President for Development
Erin Harroun is a dynamic leader with over 20 years of experience across a broad range of businesses, including both for-profit and non-profit sectors. Known for her strategic mindset, exceptional networking skills, and proven ability to scale organizations, Erin has consistently led high-profile initiatives and delivered transformative results that align with organizational objectives.
Erin most recently served as the Executive Director for the National League of POW/MIA Families, where she brought her vast expertise in organizational leadership, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement to advance the League’s mission. Alongside her leadership roles, Erin has applied her expertise in project management and business consulting, advising diverse organizations to successfully deliver lasting business results.
Erin’s career began at Marriott International, where she quickly became a top-performing sales executive. Her insights into market strategies earned her a spot on a task force that restructured Marriott’s international sales operations and optimized the company’s ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
In 2012, Erin transitioned to the International Spy Museum, where she drew upon her Marriott experience and reengineered the business development strategy and teams, achieving revenue growth of 250%. She worked on the Museum’s conversion to 501(c)(3) status and the development and design of its new L’Enfant Plaza location, particularly the event spaces, now recognized as some of the best venues in the area for everything from weddings to fundraisers.
In 2017, Erin worked with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund to open their new museum in Washington, DC’s Judiciary Square, while also building a high-performing sales, events, and operations team across sales, achieving 400% of revenue goals.
In 2021, prior to joining the League, Erin was the Vice President of Programs and Engagement for the United States Navy Memorial Foundation. She oversaw marketing, communications, education, exhibits, membership, and programming (online and in-person), including a live-streaming talk show that interviewed Navy leaders. She planned and executed more than 300 events a year, led the technology team, and spearheaded the development of a new Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system while also increasing donor engagement and driving 25% YoY revenue growth.
Erin earned a BS from Virginia Tech and a Data Analytics Certificate from Georgetown University. A proud native of Virginia, she is passionate about building partnerships and creating meaningful impact within every organization she serves.
