John P. Keefe assumed duties as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Cyber Policy in June 2022. Mr. Keefe previously served as a senior advisor to the Director of the National Security Agency. He has also held senior strategist positions
in NSA’s counterterrorism, computer network exploitation, signals intelligence, and cybersecurity missions. Prior to joining NSA, Mr. Keefe served as a senior executive in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, as a professional staff
member on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and as special assistant to the U.S. Ambassador to China in Beijing. Before his career in government, Mr. Keefe worked as a civilian operations analyst at the Center for Naval Analyses, including
field tours in Japan, Italy, and Hawaii, as well as three aircraft carrier deployments to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf.
