John Lowery contributes to ManTech’s organic growth by overseeing development and pursuit of a pipeline of major bids in addition to leading various strategic initiatives. As ManTech’s Navy Technical Director, Mr. Lowery plays a key role in developing the corporate strategy for growth across existing and new markets for ManTech to provide digital engineering, cyber, cloud solutions, predictive analytics and technical solutions and services to national security organizations.
Prior to joining ManTech, Mr. Lowery served for more than 27 years in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, Engineering Duty Officer and as a Test Officer and Technical Director for the Navy’s surface weapon systems. He served in the Pentagon in roles centered around warfighting requirements, policy guidelines and strategic definition. He was entrusted with command of four Major Defense Acquisition Programs that included the Navy’s Aegis Weapon System Program (PEO IWS), the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program, MDA’s Guided Missile Program and most recently he established and successfully tested the Navy’s hypersonic missile while in command of the Conventional Prompt Strike Program.
Mr. Lowery earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Naval Academy, attended both Strayer University, earning an MBA in Management, and the Naval Postgraduate School, earning a Master of Science Degree in Applied Physics.
