Serves as the Command's senior advisor for Cyberspace Defensive Operations. As a subject matter expert, Mr. Lawson plays a vital role in shaping the Command's approach to cyber defense initiatives. This influence spans across the Army Materiel Command, the Army Sustainment Enterprise, the Joint Strategic Support Area, and the Organic Industrial Base. His responsibilities include emphasizing the integration of intelligence, planning, risk management, and the implementation of Defensive Cyber Operations-Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM) in accordance with the United States Joint and Army Doctrine. His main objective is to ensure the resilience and integrity of the Army's logistics, sustainment operations, and strategic support areas.

Prior to this position, Mr. Lawson served as a Senior Executive in the FBI, holding the esteemed role of Section Chief, responsible for overseeing the Enterprise Cybersecurity Section. His focus was on the daily operations of managing the Enterprise Cybersecurity Mission, employing innovative analysis, efficient processes, and advanced tools to effectively mitigate cybersecurity incidents. Since 2010, Mr. Lawson has been actively engaged in various aspects of cyberspace operations, demonstrating his dedication to serving his country. Notably, he assumed the role of Battle Captain at U.S. Cyber Command, skillfully directing global cyberspace operations for the Department of Defense. Furthermore, as the lead cyberspace planner in United States European Command, he seamlessly integrated full-spectrum cyberspace operations into ongoing war planning efforts, significantly contributing to the missions' overall success. As a retired Air Force Senior Officer with a distinguished 32-year career, Mr. Lawson's experience includes critical assignments as Group and Squadron Commander and participation in various capacities at Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, Air Force Honor Guard, and United States Transportation Command.
