As the CFT Director, Mr. Monteleone is responsible for accelerating the delivery of advanced APNT, Tactical Space and Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) capabilities to the Soldier. Working across the Army Modernization Enterprise, his team informs technology and system requirements through continuous experimentation and prototyping, technology integration and Soldier feedback. Leveraging innovative solutions, prototyping, Soldier touchpoints, and lessons
learned, the APNT/Space CFT team is finding ways to rapidly transition capability requirements to the Army Acquisition System, delivering next generation weapons, vehicles and equipment at an accelerated rate.
Prior to joining the Army Futures Command, Mr. Monteleone was the Director of the Engineering and Systems Integration Directorate, under the U.S. Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC); Command, Control,
Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland from October 2021 to May 2022. He served as the Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate (S&TCD) Director under CCDC’s C5ISR Center from August 2018 to October 2021.
Mr. Monteleone is a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology and the Naval Post Graduate School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a Master of Science in Management and a graduate certificate in Advanced Acquisition. A member of the U.S. Army Acquisition Corp and a graduate of the Army Management and Staff College, Civilian Education System Advanced and Senior Leader Executive Courses, Mr. Monteleone also holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
Mr. Monteleone has Level III Certification in Engineering, Science and Technology Management and Program Management in the Army Acquisition Corps. His awards and honors include: U.S. Army Commander’s Award for
