About the Foundation

The Intelligence and National Security Foundation (INSF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing contemporary intelligence and national security challenges, facilitating public discourse on the role and value of intelligence for our nation's security, and advancing the intelligence field as a career choice.

The Foundation offers scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students. develops programming focused on intelligence and national security workforce trends, and supports efforts to attract, retain, and advance a talented, multicultural, mission-driven workforce that reflects the nation it serves. 

The Foundation's work is made possible by generous contributions from individuals and organizations across the IC.

FY23 Annual Report: Showcasing Impact and Member Value

From a diverse array of events, both in-person and virtual, to the expansion of scholarships and Foundation programs, to our impactful policy initiatives, this report underscores the intrinsic value that INSA brings to the U.S. national security mission.

The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) today released its FY 2023 Annual Report, which showcases a year of robust programs and policy initiatives that advanced collaborative solutions to some of our nation's most pressing national security challenges

From a diverse array of events, both in-person and virtual, to the expansion of scholarships and Foundation programs, to our impactful policy initiatives, this report underscores the intrinsic value that INSA brings to the U.S. national security mission.

Key accomplishments highlighted in the report include:

  • Networking Nexus: INSA held 36 impactful events and policy programs featuring a diverse mix of in-person and virtual engagements. Drawing over 13,000 attendees, these programs provided invaluable opportunities for fostering relationships, exchanging ideas, and collectively strengthening the intelligence community.
  • Diverse Speaker Representation: With a commitment to diversity, 48% of the 190 speakers featured across these events were women, ensuring varied perspectives and expertise.
  • Policy Council Engagement: INSA's nine policy councils held a total of 32 meetings, engaging over 1,100 participants and featuring insights from 33 speakers.
  • Podcast Launch: INSA introduced the Intelligence Career Conversations podcast, providing career insights and perspectives from a wide array of IC professionals.
